The Ragged Kingdom Mantra Plaid.

This plaid is a part of our limited edition JCRT + RAGGED KINGDOM Collection.
A collaboration using the artworks of the legend, Jamie Reid through his own brand, Ragged Kingdom with partner John Marchant. Each plaid was created as an amalgamation of Jamie Reid’s artworks (xeroxes, poetry, writings and textures) and our own plaidcraft.

A soft all season organic cotton twill. Individually cut and sewn, all JCRT shirts are made of 100% cotton and feature a locker loop at the center back neck, split yoke for comfortable ease of movement and side gussets for reinforcement. Single needle tailoring throughout with French seam for softer seams. Our crisp collars and cuffs are made using the highest grade German interfacings.

Casual Fit has a camp collar. Standard hidden button collar on the tailored and classic fits.

Please visit our Fit Guide above for specific details on each style.

Use a tape measure to find your perfect fit. Go to your closet and grab your favorite shirt.
Lay it down on any flat surface and smooth out the wrinkles. Measure across the chest and waist of your shirt. Double those measurements and compare them to our product measurements.
To check your sleeve length have a friend measure from the center of the back neck to the shoulder tip then down the sleeve to the cuff.

About the collaboration:
The creation of our Never Mind the Bollocks plaids was the initial connection between JCRT with Jamie Reid’s brand, RAGGED KINGDOM which resulted in this collaboration.
Seeing the shirt and coat based on the Sex Pistol’s Never Mind The Bollocks Album cover, Ragged Kingdom reached out via instagram which led to long conversations and creative discussions.

The two plaids are inspired by the iconic Never Mind covers. Jamie Reid’s cover art defined the punk rock era, DIY aesthetic and anarchy like nothing before and nothing since.

Jamie Reid (born 1947) is a British artist and political activist. After leaving Croydon Art College in 1970, he co-founded the radical political magazine Suburban Press, where he developed his unique style of cut-up graphics and slogans. Reid is best known for designing album covers for the British punk rock band the Sex Pistols. These covers featured letters cut from newspaper headlines in the style of a ransom note. The imagery became a defining aesthetic of punk rock, particularly in the United Kingdom. His work is included in international collections including Tate Britain, Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Art in Houston. Ragged Kingdom is Reid and curator/gallerist John Marchant’s exclusive clothing line. Infamously and forever tied to the Sex Pistols and spirit of punk, Reid’s Label provocatively treads those lines whilst hitting on a very modern message.

Incredible Material Design!

The shirt took a long time to be delivered. The first shirt was delayed because it had to be "remade because of JCRT's high standards". Minimal communication about this problem and minimal apology for the delay. The shirt arrived and did not match the sizing their site recommended. I returned the shirt to be exchanged. Again, minimal communication. I emailed a few questions prior to buying and over the years - oddly the response is always the same - vague and almost dismissive.

Love all of the JCRT goods

I had a lot of trouble with an order for a shirt for my husband a while back, but JCRT gave me a coupon for a free shirt to make amends, and I have not only used that but bought another shirt at full price too. That one order was just a fluke, and their order fulfillment has been exactly as promised on all of my other orders. I love all of the designs and the inspirations for them (a big fan of most of the bands that inspired the plaids). The shirts are impeccably made and I get compliments every time I wear any of them…and I am always quick to share where they came from.
