Hisham Akira Bharoocha is a Brooklyn based artist concentrating on creating music, visual art, and photography. Born in Japan, Hisham has exhibited in solo shows around the world and group shows at galleries such as The Hole NYC, Deitch Projects, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. He has been published in numerous publications including Art Forum, AnotherMan, V, iD, and Flaunt. Presently, Hisham is focused on creating work that shows the absurdity and logic of how the mind functions, what kind of relationships it creates between experiences, and images that we absorb through our senses moment by moment.
