Collection: THE FRAGILE PLAID

We created the apocalyptic costumes for Nine Inch Nails’ fabled Fragility tour. Each piece was handmade from vintage military fabrics, drilled, rusted, waxed, and dyed until it looked like it had survived the end of the world. What emerged was a wardrobe that matched Trent Reznor’s fever dream of collapse and rebirth. It was dirty, chaotic and unforgettable. 

A plaid based on David Carson's legendary Halo 14 cover. A macro/micro mash-up of a waterfall and a close-up of a seashell interior with the NIN logo sliced in half. It’s one of the most studied album covers of the late 90s.
