Our Violent Femmes Plaid is cut from cloth that hums with the same raw, jangly energy as the 1983 album that defined awkward brilliance, folk-punk, nervous, and unforgettable. The palette riffs on the cover’s weathered window frame and that cranky kid peering in: off-white panes, dusky brown shadows, and streaks of feverish red that hint at every add it up heartbreak and basement confession. It’s a shirt for when you want to howl kiss off to the room, stomp the floorboards.

Violent Femmes For some reason this album was passed around middle school…. It is dirty, filthy rock and I knew every syllable and note. It was probably the reason I played guitar and Gone Daddy Gone still makes me want to learn the xylophone.
