The Ragged Kingdom Time Peace Plaid.

This plaid is a part of our limited edition JCRT + RAGGED KINGDOM Collection.
A collaboration using the artworks of the legend, Jamie Reid through his own brand, Ragged Kingdom with partner John Marchant. Each plaid was created as an amalgamation of Jamie Reid’s artworks (xeroxes, poetry, writings and textures) and our own plaidcraft.

A classic style reinterpreted. Our chore coat has four generous pockets and heavy duty buttons. Made of a 240gsm Organic Twill composed of 98% Cotton, 2% lycra. A super soft yet durable brushed twill.
The perfect three season layering piece taking you from town to country.
For a looser fit we suggest sizing up. For best results Dry Clean.

About the collaboration:
The creation of our Never Mind the Bollocks plaids was the initial connection between JCRT with Jamie Reid’s brand, RAGGED KINGDOM which resulted in this collaboration.
Seeing the shirt and coat based on the Sex Pistol’s Never Mind The Bollocks Album cover, Ragged Kingdom reached out via instagram which led to long conversations and creative discussions.

The two plaids are inspired by the iconic Never Mind covers. Jamie Reid’s cover art defined the punk rock era, DIY aesthetic and anarchy like nothing before and nothing since.

Jamie Reid (born 1947) is a British artist and political activist. After leaving Croydon Art College in 1970, he co-founded the radical political magazine Suburban Press, where he developed his unique style of cut-up graphics and slogans. Reid is best known for designing album covers for the British punk rock band the Sex Pistols. These covers featured letters cut from newspaper headlines in the style of a ransom note. The imagery became a defining aesthetic of punk rock, particularly in the United Kingdom. His work is included in international collections including Tate Britain, Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Museum of Fine Art in Houston. Ragged Kingdom is Reid and curator/gallerist John Marchant’s exclusive clothing line. Infamously and forever tied to the Sex Pistols and spirit of punk, Reid’s Label provocatively treads those lines whilst hitting on a very modern message.

Model who is  6'2" (Chest 39.5" - Waist 32") is wearing size medium.

LOVE this jacket!

I'm a new customer; this was my first purchase with you. But this was a good one! Can't tell you how much I love this jacket. The colors and the weight are perfect for spring (and will be again this fall). Traditionally I fall in-between L and XL, and even though I like my clothes a little loose-fitting, I took a chance and ordered the L. Luckily, it's perfect. I won't lie, it was a bit of a financial investment for me, and the order did take a bit to get to me, but in the end all was worth it. I'll be back, JCRT.

I love this coat!!!!

I should start with I have never had this kind of jacket before and never thought I would like it , but I’m obsessed!!! The coat wears anywhere I could wear it to a formal event or the gas station it’s perfect. The print on the other hand is the best ever I want all of them throw in the amazing matching bag and it’s a show stopper, btw the bag is a fantastic everyday bag. I’ll end with the construction of both are at a luxury quality and the fabric is so comfortable and easy to wear. It’s not only worth the price you will quickly realize it’s a bargain for what you’re going to be obsessed with getting more of.

Simply beautiful

Like many here, I guess, I was unsure about which size to buy, but the people at JC-RT were very helpful, and the option to do a size exchange put me at ease. For reference, I'm 6' 0", 175 lb, and wear a size 40R jacket and 34" trousers. I went with a M and it's perfect. The sleeve length hits in just the right place, and while the jacket is comfortably roomy, it doesn't look baggy or oversized. The fabric is a stunning blue that (as the description says) is sturdy and substantial, but also really soft. You have to see and feel it to believe it. It's got a nice weight and drapes really well. I'm in love with this thing and I'm just waiting for proper spring weather to emerge so I can start wearing it all the time. Meanwhile I've got it hanging out so I can enjoy the brilliant, cheerful blue.
